FOUR JAGS SIGN AT MID YEAR!

Four JAGS signed MID YEAR scholarships this winter.

QB DREW WESTLING (Aliso Niguel HS/Orange County) signed locally with SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY
DL LJ BROWN (Stranahan HS/Florida) signed with the UTEP Miners
DL TORY ROBINSON (Mt. MIGUEL HS) signed with the UTEP Miners
DL ALEX OUJI (Bonita Vista HS) signed with Missouri Southern University

A super congratulations to ALEX OUJI for receiving a FULL SCHOLARSHIP... because of limited finances at the Division II level, it is rare that a player receives a full scholarship. The staff at Missouri Southern were so impressed that they "tripped" him to the school for an official visit and then signed him to full scholarship. WAY TO GO ALEX!

ALEX OUJI (BONITA VISTA HS) IS OFFERED A FULL SCHOLARSHIP AT MISSOURI SOUTHERN

Sophomore ALEX OUJI (BONITA VISTA HS) was offered a FULL SCHOLARSHIP at Division II Missouri Southern University. Typically at the Division II level players are NOT offered full scholarships because of the limited scholarships that are available. Not so is the case for the 6'3, 245 lbs. defensive lineman.

SOPHOMORE DE LJ BROWN COMMITS TO UTEP (University of Texas El Paso). Could TORY ROBINSON be next?

UTEP receiver coach AARON PRICE recruits SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE and has a recruiting relationship with Coach Carberry from the past. Coach Price first saw LJ BROWN (Grossmont College spring transfer to SWC) in the sring football class and has followed his progress ever since. BROWN, a team captain this season has 3 years to play 2 for the MINERS.

Fellow sophomore DE TORY ROBINSON (MT. MIGUEL HS) also "tripped" to UTEP and has been offered a full scholarship. ROBINSON is also considering opportunities with UNLV and Sacramento State University.

ALEX OUJI (BONITA VISTA HS) IS A HOT DIV II PROSPECT

Mike McFarland, left (Missouri Western State University) and Scott Butt of (Minnesota State University Crookston) were both on campus this past week looking to bring in players for January.

Both coaches were interested in DE ALEX OUJI (BONITA VISTA HS) who was a versatile player for the JAGS this season. He played both inside at the DT and outside at the DE. They also like OLB TEVITA FEHOKO (CHULA VISTA HS). TEVITA has 3 years to play at the Division II level.

OUJI also took a trip to MISSOURI SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY this weekend. ALEX also has a scholarship offer at University of Arkansas, Monticello.

UNLV HAS AN INTEREST IN TORY ROBINSON (MT. MIGUEL HS)

TORY ROBINSON (MT. MIGUEL HS) will receive his AA DEGREE in December from SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE making himself eligible to transfer to a Division I school. ROBINSON, a qualifier out of MT. MIGUEL went initially to the University of Alabama as a "walk on" with the Crimson Tide. After a year away from home he returned to Spring Valley and started his career at SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE.

ROBINSON is being persued by UNLV, UTEP, TENNESSEE CHATANOOGA and SACRAMENTO STATE.

WEBER STATE IN UTAH VISITS THE JAGS LOOKING FOR SECONDARY HELP

TENNESEE-CHATANOOGA STOPS IN LOOKING FOR DEFENSIVE HELP

Tennesee-Chatanooga has an interest in TORY ROBINSON (MT. MIGUEL HS). TORY has been offered an official visit to the school.

OTTAWA UNIVERSITY FROM KANSAS STOPS BY WITH THE JAGS

NAIA OTTAWA UNIVERSITY came to Chula Vista this past week looking at numerous defensive players as well as a bevy of offensive linemen from the JAGS.

NAIA schools are primarilly faith based and are spread around the country. One of the key conferences in the NAIA is the HEART OF AMERICA conference. This past week CARROLL COLLEGE of Montana won their 5th of the last 6 National Titles.
